Capacity count of users in Metro Ligero de Madrid 2022

The 26th of October we ran the capacity count of users in line ML-1, Pinar de Chamartín – Las Tablas, of Light Meters of Madrid that ABACO Market Studies has been carrying out since 2008.

The basic objective of the study is the control of occupancy of travelers on working days in this line, to obtain the matrix of passenger intensities for all circulations.

The capacity count is done during the entire service period, ie from 6:00 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. and the results are used to determine the total number of passengers, both in and out, occupation and time of each stop. This allows the offer to be adjusted to the demand, thus increasing the offer where saturation is detected, or reducing the mobile material if the network presents a low occupancy.
