Goals:

This work is part of the surveys carried out by Consorcio de Transportes de Madrid, to collect data on the operation of the public transport network in Madrid and analyze the demand, in order to plan and schedule the provision of the services. services with the best guarantees of a correct adaptation of the offer to the demand.

This is a field investigation and its subsequent exploitation with the main purpose to know the mobility matrix interstations of the users of Metro stations, as well as their evolution

Job description:

The work developed by ABACO aims to establish the mobility matrix interstations, at station level – Exit Station and its evolution with respect to the surveys carried out in the past, as well as knowing the means of access and dispersion to the network of Metro, the reasons for travel, the type of ticket used, trip recurrence and the distribution coefficients of each vestibule to line.

For this, the field work is carried out, consisting of the application of personal interviews to a sample of 473,474 Metro users, randomly selected, representing approximately 19.3% of the demand (2,457,957 users) and 2,580 ML-1, which represent 18.7% of demand in Light Rail.

The research is carried out on a regular working day, from 6:00 to 23:00 in all stations of Madrid Metro network.
