Goals:
This is a field research with the main purpose of obtaining information on mobility in the city of Burgos in the reference year for use in the development of the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan of Burgos (PMUS).

- Screen to the Private Vehicle Surveys
The purpose of the screen surveys and the capacity count of private vehicles is to characterize the mobility generated in the city of Burgos, as well as mobility through the long-distance road network that crosses the area. The selected points are the main entrances to the city (12 points). In them, screen surveys and vehicle countings were conducted simultaneously in order to establish the universe surveyed. The number of valid interviews obtained is 3,500.
- Household Surveys
The purpose of the Mobility Survey is to characterize and describe mobility in all modes of transport of residents in the City of Burgos during a regular working day and, therefore, it is aimed at the resident population in that area. The number of valid interviews obtained is 1.300.
- Urban Public Transport Surveys
The purpose of the Public Transport Survey is to determine and characterize the demand of each line of the Burgos Urban Transport day network on a working day, based on a sample data collection and an elevation of its results to the capacity of travelers. simultaneously to the survey.
The scope of the investigation was the totality of the lines of the daytime network integrated in the Urban Transport of Burgos composed of 30 lines. The investigation period was comprised between 7:00 and 22:00 hours on the working day. A sample of 4600 surveys is reached for the total of the lines
In addition, pedestrian and cyclist countings were done in 5 points and license plate entries in 20 points, interviews in the bus and train terminals as well as an online survey of activity were conducted.
