Goals:
This is a fieldwork research in TFM line with the aim of controlling passengers occupation in an average working day in this line. This allows to adapt offer to demand by increasing the offer if detecting over occupancy or reducing material in the case of low occupation.
Job description:
This job consist of the count of passengers in and out, in each of the stations of TFM, in an average working day and after exploitation, with the aim of obtaining intensity matrix of passengers in all circulations. A full count is conducted during the whole service period, this is from 6:00AM to 23:30AM.
Results allow to determine the matrix of “in” and “out” passengers. occupation and arrival time to each station, for the whole counting. It also provides information on total demand by stations and peak period on occupancy. An analysis on morning and evening rush hour is done as well as for the historical demand.
On June, 2019 the 13th, a new count of passengers is done, covering the new service period, this is from 6:00 AM to 01:30 AM.
