Goals:

This is a field research with the main purpose of obtaining information on mobility in the city of Seville in the reference year for use in the development of the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan of Seville (PMUS).

Job description:

The work developed by Abaco consists of:

  1. Screen to the Private Vehicle Surveys

The purpose of the screen interviews and  capacity counting of private vehicles is to characterize the mobility generated in the city of Seville, as well as mobility through the long-distance road network that crosses the area. The selected points are the main entrances to the city of Seville (45 points). In them screens surveys were carried out. The number of valid surveys obtained is 25,000.

  1. Household Surveys

The purpose of the Mobility Survey is to characterize and describe mobility in all modes of transport of residents in the City of Seville during a regular working day and, therefore, it is aimed at the resident population in that area. The number of valid interviews obtained is 11,000.

  1. Public Transport Surveys Interviews

The purpose of the survey carried out in Public Transport is to determine and characterize the demand of each line of the Seville Urban Transport network within a regular working day, based on sampling data. The scope of the research was the totality of  lines of the daytime network integrated in the Urban Transport of Seville composed of 43 bus lines and the Tram. The investigation period was comprised between 7:00 and 23:00 hours on the working day.

A sample of 11,000 interviews is reached for the total of the lines
