Job description:

he work carried out by ABACO consists of

  • The analysis of passenger entrance data for the years 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019, carrying out a time series analysis that allows us to know what the trend in the evolution of demand has been in order to estimate how it would have evolved if the previous timetable had been maintained. On the other hand, an analysis has been carried out on the basis of the change in schedule that allows us to infer how users’ habits may have changed and thus to dimension the real increase.
  • The research with an onboard survey of those users who travel from 10 pm until the end of the service, i.e. who use the service in the extended period of a working day. This survey has been carried out on each of the trains that run from 22:00 hours until the end of the service, dealing with current travel habits and prior to the extension of the timetable for 3 consecutive days, between 11 and 13 February. A sample of 841 surveys was obtained, which, out of a universe of 1,175 passengers using the service from 10 p.m. onwards, represented a sampling error of 1.802%, with a 95% confidence interval.

Once the data from both the incoming travellers and the surveys had been analysed, a results report was developed, with the analysis of the data obtained.
